Gameplay Loop 1

Activity and Risk –

The player would be reverting his world back from its current corrupted state by slaying the cause of the corruption in each specific area. A potential in-game risk is that if the player loses, they would be instead be put in a fainted state where in-game events could fast foward until the player wakes up that could allow for the corruption to spread even further.

Reward –

A sense of satisfaction by seeing these corrupted areas revert back to normal, with its old inhabitants returning. Could allow for trading amongst the new inhabitants with special items you could only get from certain areas.

Opportunity –

The more you cleanse the world and closer you get to the actual source of all the corruption, the game would undoubtedly get harder this would also show how close you are to actually finishing the game. At the end of every area, you have the chance to fight against the boss of that area where you will receive special rewards.

Gameplay Loop 2

Activity and Risk –

Whilst exploring and venturing throughout the game world, you will be battling various common enemies with the risk of fainting in combat. If the player character faints there would be some sort of setback or penalty placed onto the player.

Reward –

The player will have a chance of receiving loot from the enemies he defeats, this could be anything from crafting materials and money to experience.

Opportunity –

By defeating enemies, with the experience and items gained the player would undoubtedly become stronger allowing them to fight stronger enemies and gain even better rewards.
